ABOUT IGCSE

  1. IGCSE is available in 37 subjects that are equivalent, grade for grade, to UK GCSEs and accepted by universities globally
  2. Aimed at learners aged 14 to 16, providing skills and knowledge needed to progress to A Levels, International A Levels and onto university
  3. We adopt a learning approach that is appropriate for learners with international topics and the use of culturally sensitive, local contexts where possible
  4. Uses the new numeric scale grading(9-1). Where 9 is the highest score. Numeric grading ensures accurate assessment of learner’s ability
  5. We are audited annually to ensure compliance with British Curriculum and reforms of England’s GCSE(9-1) suite of qualification

Builds learners ability to identify and solve problems in visual and/or other forms

Covers painting, printmaking, 3D studies, photography, computer aided designs and textile design

Global Citizenship

The subject widens student’s knowledge of contemporary issues. It encourages them to reflect on what makes them a “global citizen” and how their learning develop their skills and knowledge within the local and international communities

Through the coursework and assessment, students are engaged in responding to issues and take part in a community project
